New gadgets & gifts....

I am one of those people that never win anything. I'm not complaining, beacuse I suppose it's possible that this is partly beacuse I don't usually enter competitions as such. Last week however, I was informed that I was to get a runner-up prize from the legendary Curlypops after leaving a comment on her blog. I was given 3 choices of prize, and I chose option (c) a gadget pouch which arrived in the mail today!

Why did I choose option (c)? Well I'm glad you asked. Several reasons actually. Firstly, I didn't think I would get much use out of option (a) and option (b). Secondly, I was planning to get myself a brand new phone on the weekend, which I did. A brand new Nokia E71.

And guess what? It fits perfectly! And I'm not sure if it is coincidence or clever stuff from Curlypops, but it is made out of hand screen printed fabric, which I love (in case you didn't already know).

Look at that. A perfect cosy little home for my new Nokia E71 that I just have to work out how to use now. Thanks Superpops for a perfect prize.

The Blogtoberfest Super Challenge!

I could keep this to myself, but I am going to admit straight up that us Mookah chicks had a bit of a creative failure last week. It filled us both with deep disappointment......but only after many rounds of raucous laughter!

We've been experimenting with a bit of jumper refashioning as you may have seen in earlier posts, and last week we threw a few more project woollen jumpers into the hot wash to felt them. The jumper in question was a mens XL 100% wool cream cable knit jumper - you know the sort I mean. Anyway, we weren't thinking and put it in with a red jumper, so you guessed it, it's now a baby pink coloured jumper. Worse than that though, it shrunk just a little more than desired, and would probably now fit a 4 year old child.
And before you suggest it, no Cooper doesn't like baby pink and refuses to wear it.
I'm assuming because it shrank SO much, this is what has also caused it to be so thick and stiff. As you can see it stands up by itself! Besides making a midget sized scarecrow for the vege patch, I had absolutely no idea what to do with it, and this is when I had my genius idea (?) of a Super Challenge.

What I would like to do is put a public challenge out there to the well known, super crafting woman most of us are familiar with, who seems to have endless creative skills, knowledge and ability and loves to take on a challenge, to create something crafty, beautiful and interesting out of the above named disaster jumper by the 31st October.
Who is this person? Who else could it be than the one, the only, 'SuperPops'! Otherwise known as Miss Curlypops in blog land and perhaps Cam to those more familiar.

SuperPops/Curlypops - this is your challenge should you choose to accept it.
